Our Canine Achievement Program (CAP) K9's are those dogs that we take from area shelters and
train them for detection work. These dogs are typically mixed breeds with the same drives needed
for the work as the purebreds that we place with Departments. Only about 1 in 200 of these
shelter dogs, that pass our initial ball/hunt drive test, will pass all phases of our selection criteria.
